Groundswell features
Market intelligence and marketing that learns your market. The progression is Listen → Understand → Engage → Scale — compliant by design, using official platform APIs only, read-only, with audit logging and required disclosure. No fake, anonymous, or impersonating accounts.
Listen — understand your market
- Always-on listening across Reddit, YouTube and the wider web through official APIs (read-only).
- Real-time brand and category mention tracking, including your own listings and reviews.
- Every mention scored for sentiment, relevance to your market, and genuine buyer intent.
- Intent categories: pain points, solution requests, advice requests, money talk, and hot discussions.
- An audience map of the communities and topics that fit your market, confidence rising as data accrues.
- Recursive community discovery that finds adjacent sources and tunes toward what performs.
- A service-area model so a local business's research stays regional, not global.
Understand — grounded analysis
- Instant company profile built from your website.
- Competitive analysis: multi-source competitor discovery and corroboration, ranked and compared.
- Competitive Gap Radar: the specific offerings competitors advertise that your public presence doesn't — so a buyer comparing you can't tell you cover them. Mark "we offer this" for anything the crawler missed; it stays flagged as self-reported until you publish it, then re-scan your site on demand to verify it's actually visible and re-score.
- Audience personas, plus negative personas — the poor-fit buyers to avoid.
- Product and marketing insights, and website-improvement suggestions.
- Guardrails: state an assumption about your business and Groundswell pressure-tests it against the evidence.
- The Brain: ask plain-language questions of your whole market, answered with citations.
- Full-text search across everything ingested, with real query syntax: Boolean operators (required
+term, excluded -term, and OR between terms), exact "quoted phrases", and source-type filters to scope a search to one platform (Reddit only, YouTube only, and so on). Combine any of them with the mention filters below.
- Filter mentions by intent category, sentiment, buyer-intent, relevance, source, community, and date range — on their own or on top of a search.
Search & query syntax
Every search runs against the full text of everything ingested, and supports:
- Boolean operators —
+term requires a word, -term excludes it, and terms with OR match either. Example: hail cover -tarp OR "car cover".
- Exact phrase matching — wrap words in
"double quotes" to match the phrase, not the loose words.
- Source-type filters — narrow any query to a single platform (Reddit only, YouTube only) so results stay on the channel you care about.
- Stackable filters — layer intent, sentiment, relevance, community, and date on top of the query to zero in on exactly the conversations worth acting on.
Engage — act on what you find
- A signals inbox that ranks opportunities, pain points, competitor and direct mentions.
- Draft an exact reply to a specific conversation, in your brand voice, ready to post.
- Generate content and static images; publish to your own or clearly disclosed accounts, on approval.
- Next Best Actions with a done/verify loop, and daily snapshot PDF reports.
